Goals and Teamwork for 2009

Thinking about Goal Setting for 2009.

Think back to your New Year’s Resolution back last year. Many people think of their New Year’s resolutions as their goals for the New Year… and they usually last about one or two weeks.

So, did you set any goals last year? Did you achieve any of your goals? Were they really goals or just wishes and dreams?

Did you write them down with some numbers and dates in them so you could tell if you achieved them?

If yes - great! Most people never meet their goals each year, and if you have reached yours, congratulations!

But if you are like most people, you probably didn't achieve your goals last year.

Why not? Maybe you didn’t write them down. An unwritten goal is just a wish; you know! Or, maybe you just didn’t go for it enough… or maybe you didn’t have enough know-how and support!

What held you back from achieving your goals last year? And, how far behind your goals did you fall?

By-the-way… I know this may bother some of you a little! But, if you are going to actually get the success you want in your business - you are going to experience some discomfort. That's just the way it is!

If you want as little discomfort as possible - live a simple, do nothing life, and treat your business like a hobby.

But if you want to really succeed, there will be discomfort and stretching beyond your comfort zone and you’ll need to treat your business like a business!

So...let’s go back to examine a few questions about last year (to help point us in the right direction for this year):

1) What were the 2 or 3 biggest things that held you back from achieving what you wanted to achieve last year?

2) What were the 2 or 3 biggest things that stood between you and where you wanted your life and your business to go?

Think about them and see if you can really understand why you did not achieve your goals last year.

3) If you had achieved your goals last year, what would your life look like now?

Now, let me ask you this... in not achieving your goals last year...what have you lost?

So now the next few questions moving forward are:

4) What is it going to take to get rid of all the things that have been holding you back from achieving your goals in 2009?

5) What steps are going to be necessary in order for you to have a successful 2009 - one that isn't filled with too many set backs and frustrations?

Yes I know, this may seem too pushy or just too much. But I feel strongly that I must lay it out like this. If this bothers you, well, I really don’t mean to upset you, and I’m sure you’ll get over it in order to move forward strongly to increase your chances of reaching your financial goals.

I just want to help you make 2009 your year of success and help you realize your dreams. Maybe I can help you and maybe not! I say maybe because not everyone is ready to set goals and go for it honestly and aggressively.

Some people just aren't ready to advance their business - for any number of reasons, and that’s Ok. Maybe they are not willing to take strong action, to be coachable, to work closely as a team, to make the investment of their time and marketing dollars, to actually commit to make success happen….

Are you ready for success? Are you ready to go for it? Do you want to discus the possibilities? Do you want to find out more about goal setting and if I can be of help to you?

Make a post here, ( click the COMMENT link below), and email me and let me know of your interest.

I can only work with a few more BAs this year so if you’re really serious let me know as quickly as you can.
Sincerely,
Norf

P.S. If you work closely with me I’ll help you set or fine tune your goals and I’ll share my goals with you and we can help each other reach our goals. I plan on building under several BAs this year. Sounds good?

P.P.S. Let’s team up to make this your best year yet. With the new products, tools and marketing planned for this year I truly believe it will be! Please leave me your comment(s).

Dear Norf and Cheryl,

What a great blog. I must commend you on your effort and work that you have put into all the information.

I would love to work with both of you in setting personal and TriVita goals. We need to work even harder as a team to weather the storm of these unprecedented economic times.

I think this year could be huge for all of us with the corporate tour and the new products.

Happy New Year to both of you.
Sincerely,
Corrine Blackmore
